Best things to do in Scottsdale

It never really matters whether you are a tourist or a regular inhabitant of a single city or state. There will always be something new for you to discover. In our humble opinion, that is the beautify of it all. You will never get trapped in the same old routine unless you absolutely wish to be. More often than not do we focus on beautiful and interesting aspects of various cities. In today’s version, we will talk about things to do in Scottsdale.

Scottsdale is home to an abundance of unique experiences, colors, tastes, and smells. And it doesn’t really matter if you are a regular, seasoned visitor or a first-timer, there are certain features you will never want to miss (or relive). Therefore you are also going to see why a lot of people have lately been moving to Scottsdale.

Things to do in Scottsdale

Scottsdale is home to some of the most incredible indoors and outdoors locations that you will most certainly want to see. And this goes both for regulars and people visiting for the first time. I quite frankly revisit the same few places each time I go there. And it never becomes old.

We will list some of the places that you will most definitely want to list on the things to do in Scottsdale. Now, please do understand that these are not the only cool gems of the locality. Only the ones you definitely don’t want to miss. Therefore, we encourage you to continuously explore the place and discover everything you can about it. Someday you might even come up with a list of your own, advising people to see and experience some of the places that have left you breathless.

McDowell Sonoran Preserve

One of the things to do in Scottsdale that should probably make the top of your list if you enjoy outdoorsy stuff in any way is the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.

You can hike, drive a bike, sightsee and do much other fun stuff in this nationally preserved park.

This is an urban preserve and the largest of its kind within the entire nation! So, it has more than 190 miles of trails that are quite amazing for hiking and mountain biking. And why stop there when another option can be horseback riding. The preserve itself is home to some trails that are once in a lifetime experience such as the Bajada Nature Trail or the Windgate Pass Trail.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West

Speaking of outdoorsy stuff, there is one more architectural wonder that you will most definitely want to behold. The legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright has made a timeless mark on this planet. Highly inspired by the natural beauty hidden in the Sonoran Desert, he has chosen Scottsdale as a location for his winter home as well as the architectural school he started.

The entire design is marvelous and amazing. It is almost impossible to describe it using words, and any attempt will most likely do it an injustice. So, this is why it is open for guests who are ready to be stunned by its architectural genius.

Musical instrument museum

Musical instrument museum is an incredible hotspot to discover instruments and music globally. Even more, if you ever wish to be fully immersed into a world of epic musical features and traditions, this is the place to go to. You have an incredible opportunity to get your fingers on plenty of world instruments and try stuff out for yourself.

Youll get a chance to play an instrument you have never probably even seen

Overall, it’s an amazing experience that will please your senses. Moreover, it is fun and can be both a family activity as well as an activity you can do on your own. And if you have an instrument that needs to be moved call piano movers Tucson AZ, and they’ll make your life easy.

Scottsdale old town

If you are more of a hipster / urban-oriented person such as myself, you will have the utmost admiration for the Scottsdale old town. In fact, it is probably on the top of my list of things to do in Scottsdale.

It is absurdly consuming, and hours can go by without you ever realizing it. What I do most often is grab my DSLR and simply walk around. Exploring the hidden corners and taking cool photographs of various places in the town. The colors and the vibe of the entire place are vibrant and consuming. The food is amazing. You will find all sorts of restaurants and cuisines all over the place. You really do not want to miss this!

Desert botanical garden

Who would have thought that desert has that many plants? Most people don’t think of it, and neither did I, until the point I discovered the Desert Botanical Garden. The place is pure magic, filled with plants of all sorts, sizes, and shapes.

If you ever wanted to explore something new and different, the desert botanical garden will be the place for you. You are destined to experience and see things you never knew existed. Our advice is that, whatever you do, you do not miss out on this! So, if you are a lover of nature make sure to read this article that outlines how you should prepare for a green move.

Scottsdale wine trail

Ahh… How can we go about getting into the story of things to do in Scottsdale without mentioning the Scottsdale wine trail? It is imperative for wine lovers (and wine lovers to be) to visit this place and experience yet another taste they will never forget.

You might get a chance to stomp on grapes and make your own wine. Or you can just taste the wine they are serving.

As mentioned at the beginning, Scottsdale is a place that will please all your senses. And how to proceed without speaking of taste. Old Town Scottsdale is practically a hub for tasting rooms that offer an abundance of different vineyard creations. If you wish to have a full Scottsdale experience, this is a place you will simply have to visit. Plus, you get to purchase souvenirs to take home with you!
